More about the artist...

Suzanne was educated in art and design at Stephen's College in Columbia, Missouri and at the University of Southern California, where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts, she has been an art educator for the Los Angeles Unified School District, private schools, institutions and seminars for more than 25 years. These years have garnered her the honor of being a candidate for the BRAVO award granted by the Education Department of the Los Angeles Music Center. In her teaching she hopes to get across one thing, "to teach my students to believe in their own creativity, so that they never find themselves to afraid to try."

Suzanne has been a student herself under the direction of noted watercolor artists Keith Crown and Pomm Olsen. In addition to her own work in watercolors, Suzanne owns and operates "The Talented Hand", a business of her commissioned art works. Her work in calligraphy has been commissioned by patrons from the City of Hope and ASCAP to private families and businesses. In addition, Suzanne's drawings for children can be found on a line of hand decorated clothes seen on little bodies romping about and in store shop windows.

Suzanne's creations are commissioned and owned by patrons throughout the United States and abroad. Look for a pot of black-eyed Susan's found within her works. They are a bit of sunshine she leaves behind.
